The 2025 SMU Mustangs football schedule will be the 99th season of college football played by the SMU Mustangs football team. The Mustangs will participate as members of the American Athletic Conference (AAC) West Division. The schedule will consist of 12 games, and the Mustangs will host six home games and play six away games. The Mustangs will begin their season on September 6, 2025, at home against the Abilene Christian Wildcats.
The Mustangs will then travel to Waco, Texas, to face the Baylor Bears on September 13. SMU will then return home to host the Texas A&M Aggies on September 20. The Mustangs will then travel to Houston, Texas, to face the Houston Cougars on September 27. SMU will then return home to host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on October 4. The Mustangs will then travel to Memphis, Tennessee, to face the Memphis Tigers on October 11. SMU will then return home to host the Navy Midshipmen on October 18. The Mustangs will then travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to face the Cincinnati Bearcats on October 25. SMU will then return home to host the East Carolina Pirates on November 1. The Mustangs will then travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to face the Temple Owls on November 8. SMU will then return home to host the Tulane Green Wave on November 15. The Mustangs will then travel to Provo, Utah, to face the BYU Cougars on November 22.
