The 2025 Jeep Gladiator Hurricane engine is a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine that produces 400 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. It is the first six-cylinder engine to be offered in the Gladiator since the 1980s. The Hurricane engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and is available on all Gladiator trim levels.
The Hurricane engine is a significant upgrade over the previous 3.6-liter V6 engine, which produced 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The Hurricane engine provides more power and torque across the entire rev range, and it is also more efficient than the V6 engine. The Hurricane engine is expected to improve the Gladiator’s towing and payload capacities.
